E-Waste Management

Responsible collection, recycling and disposal of end-of-life electronic products.

Introduction

E-waste, or electronic waste, refers to discarded electronic products that have reached the end of their useful life. Common examples include mobile phones, smartphones, feature phones, laptops, desktops, thin clients, air conditioners, televisions, refrigerators, washing machines, VCDs, stereos, copiers and fax machines. Many of these products can be reused, refurbished or recycled to minimise environmental impact.

E-waste is one of the fastest-growing waste streams globally. While it contains valuable materials such as aluminium, copper, gold, palladium and silver, it also includes hazardous substances like cadmium, lead and mercury. Improper disposal of e-waste in landfills can result in toxic emissions that pollute the air, water and soil, leading to severe health and environmental hazards.

Under the guidelines of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India, and in compliance with the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2016, Yuratech Global Pvt. Ltd. is committed to responsible e-waste management.

Why it matters

Benefits of Recycling E-Waste

Resource Conservation

E-waste contains valuable recoverable materials like aluminium, copper, gold, silver, plastics and ferrous metals. Recycling helps conserve these resources and reduces the energy required to produce new electronics from raw materials.

Environmental Protection

Safe recycling prevents toxic substances such as mercury, lead and cadmium from leaching into the environment, protecting soil and water quality.

Reduces Pollution

Recycling reduces greenhouse gas emissions and pollution by minimising the need for new raw material extraction.

Supports Communities

Donating or refurbishing old electronics benefits those in need by providing affordable access to technology.

Minimises Landfill Waste

Proper disposal of e-waste prevents it from ending up in landfills, conserving valuable landfill space.
